Meet the Dogs
| The dogs here at Alderwood are all part of our family. Each has their own personality and individual characteristics. As we see our litters of pups develop, it is amazing to see the parents reflected in them. Here in Oregon we are striving to produce a solid family oriented dog that will do just about anything you ask them to. | |
| Doc - he is our
alpha male.
A big Black Lab, his pedigree
is heavily influenced by hunter/retriever dogs. We have high
expectations for Doc, now just coming into breeding age, he
shows all the signs of being a superstar. Only now getting into
training, we have seldom seen a Lab with his natural abilities,

| Maggie - she is our agility dog,
a light colored Yellow Lab, too smart for her
own good, she will quickly win your heart. Maggie is constant
motion and was born to play and perform. Very quick and nimble,
energy and agility are trademarks of her personality, yet her
gentleness is extraordinary. Maggie is a proven breeder and a

| Amber - is the solid old matriarch.
A beautiful sable colored Chocolate Lab, is very loving and even tempered,
huge for a female, loyal and protective, Amber is a people dog. She
wants nothing more than to just sit and be petted. Classic Lab
in temperament and confirmation, we look forward to the few more litters

| Molly - is a hunter,
a Yellow Lab, selected for pedigree and
confirmation potential she has shown us good temperament,
enthusiasm and intelligence. Molly is the "red" version of a
yellow Lab. After 2 litters of beautiful pups, we have
decided that she will be a breeding female at Alderwood. (click picture or link for details) |

| Gretchen - we can't believe how
much Gretchen is like her mother, Amber. She was chosen to
perpetuate the bloodline that Amber brought to Alderwood and it
looks like she will will accomplish that and probably more. A
very big, even tempered, very sensitive dog. One of the smartest

| Jasmine - (4/27/2007) - Jazzi is a blueblood from the mid-west, we wanted to bring in the Mandigo bloodlines from Texas and Jazzi brings that to us. Ultimately destined to be mated to Hooch, Jazzi is laid back with a special proud, regal way about her, we have high hopes for her. |

| Samara - (5/10/2007) - Sami comes to us from the same breeder where we got Doc. She has tremendous potential as we look at her pedigree. Strong Sunnyview breeding promises good things in both hunting and confirmation. Ultimately destined to be mated to Hooch, initially she shows lots of energy, very smart and very loving. |

| Bo - was acquired recently (1/12/2008) from the dispersion of McCook's Labradors in Georgia. Bo comes with lots of pedigree, potential and ability. He spent the first three years of his life at a 1500 hunting preserve, earning the reputation as the smartest dog they ever handled. He certainly has the looks and frame to be a premium breeder at Alderwood. More will follow about Bo as we begin to see what he can do. At this point we know he LOVES people, loves to eat and we can can confirm he is very smart. |
